15-14 was the age I really started to get into my art, around the time my seizures reared their ugly head, for me it was an escape. My inspirations coming from Anime, my mom was the first to introduce me to anime, I sat down and watched howls moving castle at 9, spirited away at 10 and unknowingly became an early fan of the magical girl genre of anime years before that. The fanatastical worlds these people build with animation was amazing to me. So when I  seeked for an escape from my realisty I turned to creating my own.
Early Inspiration
As I began drawing more, I began to draw less fanart of things I watched or played and began to create my own worlds and characters. Listening to music was a huge aid to that, often times my art would reflect the songs I was listening to or the theme around them. It was around this time I discovered vocaloid, which segwayed me into other world music. My playlists now are a mix of many different types of music. Dont be surprised that if right after listening to elvis you get the sound track for gladiator right after. But my earliest inspiration and drive was Vocaloid, for a breif rundown, vocaloids are really just voice modulators people can use to make their own songs, and they do. Though it was slightly more niche back then, Im sure you've heard the name Hatsune Miku somewhere, she even opened for Lady gaga before. But before that, vocaloids were used as a creative outlet to tell stories or just make good music. some examplesof my favourite as a developing artist were;

These were a major source of inspiration and artistic expression to me (I'll be honest, I still listen to 75% of these songs) Though I still listen and love Hatsune Miku and the artists that create amazing songs for her, she opened many doors to other artists not explcusively japanese but all with similar themes, The use of music and imagery is something Im super into and love. Other songs in mpre recent years have also majorly inspired my personal work.
Though it is embarassing to admit now, and looking back at the dates ALL these songs were posted makes me feel majorly old, I still love these songs and the stories they tell with them. I also can't deny the heavy influence they have had on my work, the aestetic and colours I use today. I can see how the imagery in my more developed taste ressembles my work today, and how my old fancies were similar to what I used to draw. Regardless of how juvenile it was.  Media I enjoy is important to me and my work.
